If you’re planning a wedding around Lancashire or the South Lakes, you’ve got options, like, proper options! Coast, countryside, old buildings brimming with their own stories, barns, breweries, big views, and small hidden spots.
I’m based near Blackpool and I love working across this region. If you’re staring at a long list of venues and feeling a bit “meh,” here are a few ideas to get your brain going.
Why this corner of the world is perfect
The variety is huge, but it’s the people who are the real win! We’re very friendly and not afraid to make eye contact and talk to someone we haven’t met before. People chat at the bar, make conversation in a queue…you’re made to feel like you belong straight away. That’s what my husband said to me as his first impression of the north when he came to meet my family. He couldn’t believe how friendly people are. And he’s Canadian (known for their friendliness)!
Coastal, historic, or just plain different?
- The Coast: Gives you space, light, and a backdrop that does all the hard work for you. Perfect for a ceremony that feels wide open and relaxed.
- Manor Houses: Great if you want the classic “big day” feel but want a ceremony that feels modern and personal inside those old walls.
- Unique Spaces: I’m a big fan of non-traditional venues too. Breweries, studios, or even your own back garden. If it feels like home to you, it’ll be amazing.
- The Lakes: It’s not a UNESCO World Heritage site for nothing! If roaming this part of the world takes you to your happy place, why not have your ceremony here?
My Ceremonies
You might know exactly
what you want.
Or have no idea at all.
Whatever starting position you’re in, that’s absolutely OK, I can help.
I’ll write and lead a ceremony that reflects you and gives you that “at home” feeling.
From our first chat to the day of the ceremony itself, you’ll be in safe hands.
