Ceremonies
That Feel Like Home.

Caroline headshot

Hello, I'm Caroline

A little welcome —

One of the best feelings in life is feeling completely at home.

It’s a bit like falling into your favourite armchair. That mix of deep happiness, relaxation, familiarity, safety, comfort... you trust everything around you completely. There’s nothing to fear, no protective armour you have to wear. You can just let out a big exhale and be nothing but yourself.

If that’s the feeling you want for your ceremony, you’ve come to the right place! I’m Caroline. I’m thrilled you’re here, and I would love to create a ceremony where you’re able to be totally yourself, say what you want to have said, and have your moment celebrated the way you want it celebrated.

Your ceremony,
exactly how you want it.

The reason why I focus on crafting ceremonies that feel like home is because that’s exactly what feels like home to me. It’s a natural expression of who I am. I’ve always been drawn to creating environments that enable people to shine and be true to themselves. When I decided I wanted to be a celebrant, it was such a strong feeling, as if I had no choice but to pursue it. It brings together all the things that I excel at and all my favourite parts of things I’ve done in my life so far. I have over 25 years’ collective experience in radio broadcasting, event management, leading teams, writing, and DJing celebrations.

Building trust, reading the room, connecting with people, and landing a moment the way it’s supposed to land is second nature to me.

Through all the celebrations I’ve been a part of, what I’ve learned is this: the most memorable, magical moments are always the ones that are completely true to the people they’re about, making no apologies for it. So yes, you can count on my encouragement and support to do exactly what you want!

That could look like:

Description

  • hiking

    The Hilltop

Renewing your vows on a hilltop you both love to hike, wearing your well-worn hiking gear.

  • Garden

    The Garden

Welcoming your child in your parents' back garden, surrounded by the flowers your beloved nanna planted.

  • Sunset beach

    The Sunset

We're on standby for a beautiful summer evening, and when it's looking good you ring me to say "Caroline, tonight's the night" and we spontaneously head to the beach to catch the sunset. Just the two of you, with the blood-red sun blessing you both as it slowly dips below the horizon, giving way to the brightest of stars...

Wherever the magic is for you, whatever makes you feel at home — if it’s what you want, let’s do it!

Why people choose me.

This makes me think back to after my wedding, when friends would ask me for recommendations.

My stylist did a magnificent job on my hair and makeup, but I didn’t recommend her because she wasn’t easy to be around. She complained non-stop about her own husband, and switched off my getting-ready music because she didn’t like it.

To top it off, just as I was preparing to walk down the aisle with my dad, taking in an incredibly special moment, she leaned over the upstairs banister and yelled down to me: “Where’s my money?”

If you’re laughing while shocked it’s OK! In hindsight it is a funny story and it didn’t put a dampener on the day at all. But what I noticed was this: delivering an excellent product in and of itself doesn’t necessarily mean a recommendation follows. So here are some additional things you can rely on when it comes to me — things I’m confident will stand out for you should you wish to recommend me after.

Brilliant
to work with

— “Why’s that?” your friend asks.

“Caroline made us feel so comfortable! She’s dead honest, down to earth and really positive, nothing’s a problem. She explains everything and makes sure we understand each other rather than just assuming. She does what she says she’s going to do, when she says she’s going to do it. An absolute pleasure.”

On the
ball

— For example:

“My sister was supposed to do the main reading but she was poorly the day of the ceremony! I called Caroline and she didn’t bat an eyelid! She offered ideas to me and we solved it.”

03

Properly
invested

— “What do you mean?” your friend asks.

“It’s not about her at all, it was all about us. She took the time to get to know us and she just got us. She remembered things about us I never expected her to. I didn’t feel like just another client, I felt like we mattered. She wouldn’t settle for less than us being absolutely delighted.”

The Process

How we’ll work together.

Step OneA Cuppa & a Chat

It all starts with a cuppa and a chat. We can hop on a video call or meet up in person to see if we’re a good fit. If we are, I’ll send over a questionnaire that helps me understand exactly who you are, what matters most to you, and how you want your ceremony to feel. If you’re not a fan of forms, no problem at all, we can just talk through the questions together.

Step TwoI Write Your Ceremony

Armed with all that wonderful context, I’ll go away and write your ceremony. I’ll send you the draft, and we’ll shape it together until it is absolutely perfect. Throughout the whole process, I am right here for your questions, your ideas, help with writing your vows, calming any nerves, and answering the occasional “would it be weird if we…?”(Spoiler alert: the answer is usually no — I love it, it’s brilliant, it’s you, we should definitely do that!)

Step ThreeYou Just Show Up

When the big day arrives, I’ll arrive early and coordinate with anyone who needs coordinating with to make sure everything is set for your ceremony. All you have to do is show up, and enjoy your ceremony. Afterwards, I’ll hand over a beautifully presented copy of your script for you to keep.

In Caroline’s words

“With the blood-red sun blessing you both as it slowly dips below the horizon, giving way to the brightest of stars…

REACTIONS TO MY CEREMONIES

Words from my mentor,
who holds the bar very high.

During my celebrant studies, I was mentored by the amazing Tara Heath-Arnold, a celebrant of many years. I was delighted to receive these reactions to the ceremonies I wrote and performed —

"Caroline puts so much love and care into every ceremony she creates. Her attention to detail and the way she captures each couple’s story is truly special. Any couple who chooses her as their celebrant will be very lucky indeed."

"Your energy and warmth shine through every part of your ceremony. You handle the important moments with ease and genuine feeling. You build trust with your couples and make them feel supported, and your natural style brings comfort and joy to everyone involved."

"Your scripts are some of the most beautifully written I’ve seen. You weave in personal touches, meaningful rituals, and heartfelt words that reflect each couple’s journey perfectly. This is exactly what being a celebrant is all about."
