Q: Can the ceremony be non-religious?

Yes, absolutely. It can be completely non-religious, religious, or include a mix of spiritual elements or traditional hymns if that’s what feels right for your person. What matters most is that the ceremony reflects them.

Q: What happens if we want to speak but get too emotional on the day?

This happens and is completely normal. I will have a copy of whatever you want to say. If you want to try reading it yourself, I will stand right next to you as a steady support. If you feel you can't go on, a simple nod to me is all it takes, and I will smoothly step in and read it for you.

Q: Do you charge extra for travel?

Travel within a 30-mile radius of my home base in Staining is included in my fee. For locations further afield, I charge a modest extra fee based directly on the standard HMRC mileage rate (55p a mile) to cover fuel, and we will always agree on any costs upfront.

I focus on crafting Celebrations of Life and memorial ceremonies that feel like home. Because in moments of grief, that "at home" feeling is exactly what we need; a safe space where you can feel comfortable and comforted, feel completely supported, and remember your loved one exactly as they were.

Bespoke Ceremonies - £250 (50% deposit, the rest paid 2 weeks before the ceremony date.)

When you book me for a Celebration of Life or memorial ceremony, here’s what you’ll get:

Free Initial Consultation: We’ll meet on a video call or in-person if you’re local, to talk gently through your ideas and see if I’m the right person to support you.
Tell Me Their Story: If you decide to go ahead, we’ll sit down together (over a brew or on a call) so you can tell me all about them. I’ll listen to what made them who they were, what they valued, and the feeling you want to capture for the day.
Bespoke Ceremony Script: Armed with those memories, I’ll craft a unique, personal script that honours their life with dignity, warmth, and sincerity.
Shaping it Together: I’ll send you the draft, and we can edit, tweak, and refine it together until you are completely comfortable.
Help With Tributes and Readings: If you or a family member would like to speak but are worried about the emotion of the day, I am right here to help write, edit, or simply stand by your side for support. If it becomes too much, I can smoothly take over.
Ceremony Coordination: On the day, I’ll arrive early and coordinate with the venue or anyone involved to ensure everything is set up perfectly. All you have to do is be there with your family.
Keepsake Script: Afterwards, I’ll present you with a beautifully printed copy of the ceremony script for your family to keep.

Creative Elements & Personal Touches.

If you want to include elements that feel deeply personal or uniquely represent them, we can. You might want a simple, beautifully delivered script with a quiet moment for reflection. Or perhaps you want to have a piece of music played during the ceremony, share a toast, or include a ritual that means something to your family. There is no right or wrong way to say goodbye. Just be guided by what feels right and what brings comfort to you.

I’m naturally curious about people and I love finding those little threads of a person's life that make a script come alive. My background across live radio and international events means I know how to hold a room, read the energy, and be present, delivering the ceremony with warmth and care.
